socio-political self-help and stuff
even though sometimes it seems as if you don’t want me to, i still have faith in you. in your darkest, most depraved places, i still believe that your goodness exists. i mean, when i look around at this world, at all of the wondrous humanistic contributions, i cannot help but remain optimistic for what you are capable of.
think about it… a human figured out that a little nut could be roasted and processed to become chocolate. and yep, it was a human who observed bees and discovered the sweet goodness that is honey. and don’t get me started on the engine… yes, you, humanity, have brought so much good to the planet, that when i hear reports of your despicable acts, i wonder if it’s the same humanity that designed this computer that i type from. because somehow, the two extremes seem so… extreme.
so humanity, i need you to do me a huge favor. before you act, pause. stop to think about whether your actions are creating our world or destroying it. whatever you do, ask yourself – “how will this impact the planet?” and “will anyone suffer as a result of my actions?” let me know that my faith is not in vain. let me know that you haven’t forgotten who you are. let me know that you still care about you. hopefully, as much as i do.
